AECON3 - a Supernatural convention

Hi there!
I'm such a lousy blogger...but I have just nothing to say at all.

Maybe this will interest some of you...

Last weekend I was at a Supernatural (that's a tv show, btw) convention in Bad Wildungen (or: the middle of nowhere).

Some might think: Wait...you spend a lot of money to meet some random actors?

Well...YES!

I had so much fun. I do have to admit that the organisation was crappy (and I'm really angry that Rogue Events can't do better...), but anyway...I had fun!

The guests were:

Misha Collins (Castiel)
Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer)
Mark Sheppard (Crowley)
Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer)
Sebastian Roché (Balthazar)
Matt Cohen (young John Winchester)
Carrie Anne Fleming (Karen Singer)
Steven Williams (Rufus)
Jim Michaels (Co-Ex-Producer)

Each guest came at least twice on stage, and talked with/to the fans. Everybody was soooo nice and friendly. Some were crazy and funny.
I loved them all!

I arrived at Bad Wildungen on Friday, found the hotel, checked in, and waited for my friend.
Then we went to the other hotel, where the convention was held.
Massive Queue. Queuing is the favourite activity at a con! Seriously!
I guess I spent more time, standing around and waiting, than actually doing something.

In the evening we went to some Italian Restaurant. I had pizza, the others had pasta.
Then me and a friend of my friend went to the wellness area of our hotel. Wellness! Aaaah.
It was so nice. First pool, then sauna, then relaxing. Awesome!

We went to bed at 10pm, and got up at 6am. Blergh.

At first we had to wait for another hour (it drove me crazy!), then the convention finally started.

The first one on stage was Sebastian Roché.

He is one crazy guy! He controlled the crowd with his buttcheeks, and he was always talking and jumping around.
He told us about some danish fans, he had met earlier, and asked one of them: "What means Hi in Danish?"
And the girl said: "Hej" (pronounced "Hi").
So every time someone said "Hi", Sebastian was like: "Oh, are you danish?" Running gag of the weekend.

The next one was Jim Michaels, the producer guy.

He was really friendly and funny, too.
He could tell us some behind the scenes stories, and he said that he's mad that the Impala isn't used anymore.

The next two people were Carrie Anne Fleming and Matt Cohen.

Carrie is the cutest thing ever! She was so adorable. It was her first Supernatural convention, and she was glad that there were so many girls around.
And during her work, she fell in love with Jim Beaver, and wants to marry him.

Matt was really nice, too. He walked around in the hall, and talked to the fans.

Then it was time for lunch.
After the break, Misha Collins came on stage.

I thought - because of his weird tweets - that he is crazy and strange. But he's not.
He's lovely and friendly - and yes, of course he has his own sense of humour, but he's just awesome.
I love that he does charity things, and donates money, and helps people (e.g. Haiti or homeless people...).

He wanted to auction something for a good cause, and some stupid girl bid: 1000 Euros.
He said: Are you serious?
And she: Yes!
When he said: Ok, it's yours, she answered: Oh, I was just kidding.
Hello? You don't do that!
Misha was a little bit disappointed and angry.
That girl wanted to ask a quesion, and Misha said: You don't think I'm gonna answer it, do you?
And he didn't.

Then there was this guy, who wanted to ask a question, and Misha said: "Hello, Sir."
The guy: "Uhm, I'm not a Sir."
Misha: "All right...hello Madame."
The guy kept talking, and Misha said: "You have a very low voice, Madame."
And the guy started to shout.
Ah...it was so funny that he didn't get what Misha said.

I had to leave, then, because I took a picture with Mark Sheppard, and so I missed Steven Williams. I only know him from Supernatural and The X-Files, and I thought this is some decent, old, man....
but he's not! He's crazy and wild....too funny. He wore a long coat and some earrings...

After Steven, it was time for Mark Sheppard.

I love Mark Sheppard. I've seen him last year at another Supenratural convention, and he's so cool.
He wore a Doctor Who shirt, because he is part of the show.
And he wants to be in Sherlock, too. I SO want him to be there! Please! He wants to play Sebastian Moron.

Then it was time for Mark Pellegrino.

I don't like his character on the show so much (he tortures my favourite character Sam :(), but Mark is a sweetheart. He's gentle, and charming. He did Dexter and LOST, too.

I had to leave for my picture with Misha, so I missed most of Jim Beaver's panel.
But he was really cute, too.
He tried to answer in German, because he learned this some time ago, because his Great-Grandfather was German, and he wanted to make him happy. Sadly, he passed away, before he had finished his studies.

At the end of Day 1 all the actors (except for Misha, who was still doing pics) entered the stage to say "goodbye".
We left the hotel, and went back to our hotel. My friends wanted to go to a concert (Jason Manns, who always plays at the conventions...), and I wanted to stay at the hotel, doing nothing, seeing nobody.
I went to the wellness area, where I was alone. Awesome! I had a great time...

Again, we got up at 6am (did I mention that I'm still tired?).

After breakfast (which was delicious, btw), we checked out and walked back to the other hotel.
Day 2 started with Mark S. and Mark P.
Lovely! :D

Someone wanted to know, if their dream woman was at the con, how would she look like. She really thought that she had some chances...(What the heck...)

Mark Sheppard said: Misha Collins is my dream woman.
And Mark Pellegrino said: Sebastian Roché is mine. ;)

Mark Sheppard started to talk about football (soccer for our American/Canadian friends), because some German teams had played the other evening.

And Mark Pellegrino said that he liked Dexter, but he thinks it's questionable that they created a show, where the serial killer is the good guy. Because they're not. They're monsters.
I have to admit that he's right...but still I love Dexter.

When they had to leave, Mark Sheppard said that he loves being at cons, and that he thanks every fan for watching and supporting. I did say that he's awesome. ;)

Then it was time for Jim Beaver again.

He told us about working with Jensen and Jared, and that it's more difficult to work with Jared, because he's like a puppy ("I wanna play! I wanna play! Look, I peed on your bed!").

Sebastian and Misha were the next two guests on stage.
Whereas Sebastian was as crazy as the last day, Misha looked more tired, and wanted to be serious, and answer all the questions. Bless him.

After the lunch break, we wanted to see Matt and Carrie again, and then go and fetch the missing autographs.

Carrie told Matt that it's Mother's Day, and he told us that his mother left the family, when he was a baby, and this father raised him.
But his father insisted on Mother's Day. So every year, Matt says to him: "Happy Mother's Day, Dad!"
And this time, he wanted us to say it together, and he recorded it.
This was so cute. Everybody was quiet, he started talking, when all of a sudden, somebody yelled: "Goodbye, I'm leaving!" Yup, it was Sebastian Roché.

Then....the convention was over. Sort of.
As I said, we went to get the autographs, and that took as so long that it was evening.

We said goodbye to each other, and then I left, and drove back home (booooooooring).

In case somebody is reading this, and wants to know more, or see more pics, I'll happily oblige.
